Castello no longer stamps their pipes, but this bent Billiard resembles their classic "65" design, with a thick, stolid bowl paired to a svelte shank-and-stem combination. Firm-heeled and stout, the bowl dominates the profile in Italian neoclassic style, while the low-set transition and subtle tapering across the shank and stem further accentuate the bowl's visual prominence. The graceful, gestural S-curve of the shank and stem promotes a comfortable, hands-free smoking posture and lends a willowy note to the overall composition. The stummel wears a handsome, contrast-stained smooth finish that showcases some fetching constellations of birdseye across either flank of the bowl.
