Castello: 'Castello' Bent Apple (KKKK) Tobacco Pipe

A muscular, plump briar, this bent Apple from Castello is rather compact overall, yet boasts plenty of chamber depth within thick walls, the voluptuous, subtly tapering bowl making for a comfortable fit in hand. Out back, an equally stout, arching shank and stem provide a nice balance, the proportions here deviating from the neoclassic style of design common to Italian pipe making. It's dressed in one of the workshop's smoky walnut stains, revealing striking licks of flame grain densely populating the flanks, while beautiful clusters of birdseye pepper the rim and the pipe's underside, resulting in a handsome, nicely contoured composition.
