A long, eye-catching take on the classic bent Billiard, this piece from Castello features a tall, muscular bowl that stands the fore of a high-kicking shank-and-stem arrangement. The bowl's tapered sides and firm, pronounced heel bring to mind the Egg shape, albeit a rather robust one. The shank tapers from the mid-set transition at the bowl's aft and reaches up toward a steeply curved acrylic mouthpiece whose posture ensures a comfortable smoking position and easy clenching. The smooth Collection finish dresses the stummel with an auburn stain that reveals dense streaks of flame grain surrounding the bowl, the understated palette lending this pipe an air of refinement.
