Castello: Collection Pot (KKK) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-386-5269
Founded in 1947 by Carlo Scotti, Castello's commitment to handcrafting high-quality pipes helped elevate the reputation of Italian pipes to luxury status. Furthermore, Castello's personal shaping approach to pipes helped cultivate the bowl-centric and whimsical Italian neoclassic aesthetic. Any fan of Castello will instantly recognize their bent Pot, known by many as the "55." However, this straight rendition of the Pot by Castello offers a slight revision to the marque's iconic shape. Instead of the aquiline arc from heel to bit the "55" is famous for, this pipe's shank-and-stem arrangement is arrow straight, and is fitted with an acrylic military mount. The heel remains rather robust here, although not quite as pronounced as the "55." This streamlined version of the Pot does feature the archetypal shape's stout bowl, which showcases stunning grain patterns in a vibrant auburn stain, most notably the rippling growth rings and the contrasting striations of vertical grain that wrap around the bowl.
