Since their founding in 1947 by Carlo Scotti, Castello's commitment to handcrafting high-quality pipes has helped elevate the reputation of Italian pipes to luxury status. Furthermore, Castello's personal shaping approach to pipes helped cultivate the bowl-centric and whimsical Italian neoclassic aesthetic. This Lovat by Castello features the marque's esteemed Fiammata designation, meaning it has truly exceptional flame grain. The bowl is proportionally larger than usual for a Lovat, but for good reason, as it provides a dynamic, cylindrical canvas to showcase tendrils of flame grain flowing from heel to rim. The grain also sweeps down the side of the elongated, round shank, which slightly tapers to the Lovat's requisite saddle stem, one fashioned from black acrylic.
