Low-lying and plump, this Tomato from Castello displays the broad base and affable charm of the traditional design but with a bit more dramatization of proportions. The robust bowl is far more hearty than the shank-and-stem arrangement, which consists of an abbreviated shank topped by a jet-black acrylic mount and push-style stem. This neoclassic piece is a fine Sitter, thanks to its flattened underside and is wearing the extra dark rustication of the rugged Sea Rock finish, with the smooth, light-hued rim offering contrast.
