Founded in 1947 by Carlo Scotti, Castello's commitment to handcrafting high-quality pipes helped elevate the reputation of Italian pipes to luxury status. Furthermore, Castello's personal shaping approach to pipes helped cultivate the bowl-centric and whimsical Italian neoclassic aesthetic. This Pot by Castello is an exceptionally muscular Nosewarmer. The thick-walled bowl showcases a slight forward cant, giving the tidy design a dash of dynamism. Out back, a low-slung ovoid shank emerges from the cylindrical bowl, offering a hearty balance while keeping this Pot sleek in profile. An abbreviated tapered stem brings up the rear, its broad acrylic bit manifesting a comfortable clench. The stummel is dressed in Castello's eponymous finish, highlighting vertical grain in stunning definition, while the wide rim features a flourish of plateau for a palpable contrast.
