Castello: 'Castello' Author (KKKK) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-386-5396
Since their founding in 1947 by Carlo Scotti, Castello's commitment to handcrafting high-quality pipes has helped elevate the reputation of Italian pipes to luxury status. Furthermore, Castello's personal shaping approach to pipes has helped cultivate the bowl-centric and whimsical Italian neoclassic aesthetic. One of Castello's rarer shapes, this Author presents a particularly sinuous profile, with the well-bent stem returning to parallel slightly above the rim. Furthermore, the contours of the shank-and-stem arrangement flow into the bowl's shapely contours, producing a plump heel that feels robust in hand. Additionally, the stummel is dressed in the vivid auburn stain of Castello's eponymous finish, showcasing thick streaks of flame grain around the curvaceous bowl.
