Castello: Collection Author (KK) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-386-5418
Since their founding in 1947 by Carlo Scotti, Castello's commitment to handcrafting high-quality pipes has helped elevate the reputation of Italian pipes to luxury status. Furthermore, Castello's personal shaping approach to pipes has helped cultivate the bowl-centric and whimsical Italian neoclassic aesthetic. One of Castello's rarer shapes, this Author presents a particularly sinuous profile, with the well-bent stem returning to parallel slightly above the rim. Furthermore, the thick disposition of the shank-and-stem arrangement is mirrored by the bowl's shapely stature, which possesses plump, insulating walls that rise from a pronounced heel and offer a muscular in-hand feel. Additionally, the stummel showcases Castello's eponymous finish, which highlights dashing grain in a vivid auburn stain.
