Castello: Collection Bent Apple (KKK) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-386-5673
Founded in 1947 by Carlo Scotti, Castello's commitment to handcrafting high-quality pipes helped elevate the reputation of Italian pipes to luxury status. Furthermore, Castello's approach to shaping helped cultivate the bowl-centric and whimsical Italian neoclassic aesthetic. A plump, muscular briar, this bent Apple is rather compact overall, yet boasts plenty of chamber depth within its thick walls, the voluptuous, subtly tapering bowl making for a comfortable fit in hand. Out back, an equally stout, arching shank and stem provide a nice balance, the proportions here deviating slightly from the neoclassical style of design common to Italian pipe making. It's dressed in one of the workshop's deep, warm, chestnut-hued stains, revealing striking licks of handsome grain densely populating the flanks, rim, and underside, resulting in a handsome, nicely contoured composition.
