Castello: Trademark Bent Apple (KKKK) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-386-5706
Founded in 1947 by Carlo Scotti, Castello's commitment to handcrafting high-quality pipes helped elevate the reputation of Italian pipes to luxury status. Furthermore, Castello's approach to shaping helped cultivate the bowl-centric and whimsical Italian neoclassic aesthetic. A plump, muscular briar, this bent Apple is rather compact overall, yet boasts plenty of chamber capacity within its thick walls, the voluptuous, subtly tapering bowl making for a comfortable fit in hand. Out back, an equally stout, arcing shank and stem provide a nice balance, the proportions here deviating slightly from the neoclassical style of design common to Italian pipe making. A hearty, Author-like take on the classic shape, the stummel is here dressed in the warm, grain-defining auburn stain of the Trademark finish, revealing handsome grain throughout the briar.
