Castello: 'Castello' Rhodesian (KKKK) Tobacco Pipe

Since their founding in 1947 by Carlo Scotti, Castello has handcrafted high-quality pipes and helped elevate the reputation of Italian pipes to luxury status. Furthermore, Castello's personal shaping approach to pipes has helped cultivate the bowl-centric and whimsical Italian neoclassic aesthetic. Rhodesians are relatively rare for Castello, making this particular rendition a welcome and enticing find. A stocky, full-bodied bowl rests at the pipe's fore and flares from a firm heel to a broad, beadline-wrapped waistline before tapering inward to a rounded rim. In typical Italian neoclassical fashion, the bowl holds most of the visual weight within the composition, its muscular build overshadowing the incredibly slender shank-and-stem arrangement that follows behind. Castello's eponymous finish dresses the stummel and highlights striking grain across the bowl and shank alike.
