Castello: Collection Occhio di Pernice Bent Egg (KK) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-386-5728

Founded in 1947 by Carlo Scotti, Castello's commitment to handcrafting high-quality pipes helped elevate the reputation of Italian pipes to luxury status. Furthermore, Castello's approach to shaping helped cultivate the bowl-centric and whimsical Italian neoclassic aesthetic. This bent Egg is a hearty, robust pipe, though it packs all of its substance into a fairly compact package, measuring in at just under five inches long. The transition is wide and gives way to a rather short shank that lifts sharply and tapers to meet a similarly tapering stem of jet-black acrylic, the combination poising this pipe for comfortable smoking and lending the silhouette an expressively dynamic verticality. The bowl stands on a rounded heel and grows thick, supple walls that curve up to a flat rim, making for a comfortable feel in hand and offering a capacious chamber for extended smoking sessions. This pipe is dressed in the light, honeyed hues of the Collection finish and has earned the "Occhio di Pernice" stamping, which designates it for the excellent birdseye that can be seen across both flanks of the stummel.
