Castello: Collection Billiard (KKK) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-386-5740
Founded in 1947 by Carlo Scotti, Castello's commitment to handcrafting high-quality pipes helped elevate the reputation of Italian pipes to luxury status. Furthermore, Castello's approach to shaping helped cultivate the bowl-centric and whimsical Italian neoclassic aesthetic. This Billiard is a fine example of the talents of Castello's carvers, its plump bowl housing a fairly capacious chamber from atop a rounded heel, all while offering plenty of comfort in the hand thanks to its supple, subtle taper to the rim. The bowl is paired to a short shank and sleekly tapering stem that lends the aft side of this pipe a slender character and places further emphasis on the bowl. The shank here is capped with a swirling dome of black and white acrylic that allows the matching stem to pair to the stummel via a practical military mount, allowing for easy disassembly and cleaning. Dressed in the rich, warm stain of the Collection finish, there's plenty of handsome grain to appreciate here, with windswept flame through the flanks of the bowl.
