Furthermore, Castello's personal shaping approach to pipes has helped cultivate the bowl-centric and whimsical Italian neoclassic aesthetic. This Apple by Castello is an excellent example of a bowl-centric design, with the hearty bowl offering a robust in-hand feel with its plump walls and Ball-like frame. The bowl is further emphasized by the arrow-straight shank-and-stem arrangement that gently tapers from the transition to the trim acrylic bit. Additionally, the stummel is dressed in the workshop's Collection finish, which highlights a wealth of attractive grain under a smoky stain.
