Castello fashions some of the most egg-like Egg shapes. Deep of bend and quite full-bodied, this one houses no shortage of chamber within its tall, curvaceous bowl. Out back, one of the Italian workshop's sinuously shaped shank-and-stem combinations offers a comfortable smoking posture, the shank curling and tapering from out of the transition and fitted to the stem via a military mount of acrylic. The result makes for an easy jaw-hanger, while the slender S-curve further accentuates the robust bowl up front, dressed in the warm, grain-defining Collection finish. Further commended by Castello's Occhio di Pernice designation, this piece is celebrated for its exceptional display of birdseye — particularly along the bowl's flanks.
