Castello: Collection Bent Egg (KK) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-386-5799

With a layered history dating back to 1947, Castello is known as one of the first Italian brands to separate from the conventional English and French shape charts to help create the Italian neoclassical style seen today. Translating to "castle" in English, founder Carlo Scotti chose the name Castello to be recognized in several European languages. The marque eventually combined with Radice and Ascorti and was one of the first brands to provide high-quality handmade pipes to the general public. Leading shaping in Italy, Castello is now considered one of the most iconic pipe manufacturers in the world.

An extremely lightweight rendition of the shape-chart standard, this bent Egg from Castello is easily clenched between the teeth, making for a great jaw-hanger. Up front, the walls of the bowl rise from a softly pointed heel and expand toward a flat rim, forming the pipe's namesake. Despite its lightweight stature, this pipe still houses a respectable tobacco chamber, ensuring you don't sacrifice smoking time. Out back, a high-kicking shank rises to meet an acrylic military mount, with the stem bending to the bit. Dressed in the honey hues of Castello's Collection finish, tendrils of flame grain are highlighted across the flanks of the bowl.
