Castello: Collection Dublin (KKK) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-386-5832

With a layered history dating back to 1947, Castello is known as one of the first Italian brands to separate from the conventional English and French shape charts to help create the Italian neoclassical style seen today. Translating to "castle" in English, founder Carlo Scotti chose the name Castello to be recognized in several European languages. The marque eventually combined with Radice and Ascorti and was one of the first brands to provide high-quality handmade pipes to the general public. Leading shaping in Italy, Castello is now considered one of the most iconic pipe manufacturers in the world.

This Dublin from Castello maintains a balanced profile, pairing a tall, sturdy bowl to a lengthy shank-and-stem arrangement out back. The bowl takes on the classic flare of the Dublin, its walls rising over two inches from a firm heel toward a flat rim that peers into a sizable tobacco chamber. The broad transition lends this pipe an easy in-hand feel as it gives way to the aforementioned combination of the rounded shank and tapered stem. Wearing a rich walnut stain, the stummel is dressed in Castello's smooth Collection finish, putting the bowl's stunning flame grain on full display, as well as highlighting the dense birdseye on the rim.
