Castello: Collection Pot (Big Line) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-386-5854

With a layered history dating back to 1947, Castello is known as one of the first Italian brands to separate from the conventional English and French shape charts to help create the Italian neoclassical style seen today. Translating to "castle" in English, founder Carlo Scotti chose the name Castello to be recognized in several European languages. The marque eventually combined with Radice and Ascorti and was one of the first brands to provide high-quality handmade pipes to the general public. Leading shaping in Italy, Castello is now considered one of the most iconic pipe manufacturers in the world.

This Pot from Castello belongs to their "Big Line," a special series that consists of stummels made from 12-year-aged briar. The series comprises pipes that are appropriately large, and this Pot is no exception. Measuring over six inches long and boasting a bowl over two inches tall, this piece is substantial, its dense build offering a reassuring in-hand heft and a capacious tobacco chamber. A gorgeous rim of plateau crowns the composition, its rugged texture contrasting the rest of the stummel's finish: a rich, silky polish that highlight a wealth of attractive grain.
