Castello's "23" straight Apple shape often features rather slender proportions through the shank and stem, and that goes double for the Italian workshop's less-common, military-mounted versions. One such piece is offered here with an army mount of pale-white acrylic, matching well with the stem and the warm hue of the lower portion of the bowl, while the upper bowl and rim have been fumed, stained an inky hue for rich contrast. of the Old Antiquari and making for a classically timeless presentation in quite a compact and portable package compared to the famed Italian workshop's other fare.
