Claudio Cavicchi: Black Sandblasted Bent Dublin

Product Number: 002-400-1984

While Claudio Cavicchi's smooth finishes, particularly the warm blonde stain he uses on his "C" graded pieces, might receive the most attention, the Italian artisan is extremely talented in the sandblasting cabinet. This bent Dublin is a great example of Cavicchi's technique, resulting in a dense, tight-knit display of rippling ring grain covering the entire bowl. The extra dark, somewhat reserved stain is a nice touch as well, keeping the visual focus on the shape and grain. The broad, undulating rim is quite a whimsical touch, further contributing to the composition's striking aesthetics and displays some beautiful birdseye underneath its rich mahogany stain.
