Claudio Cavicchi: Brown Smooth Bent Dublin

Product Number: 002-400-1993

Cavicchi's Dublins are almost always more geometrically structured and less organically rounded than this piece. An Acorn-esque Dublin with a subtly rounded heel spur (more of a heel nub), its transition is high and the stummel oriented for the best possible display of grain. You may be tired of hearing about the remarkable grain the Claudio can coax from briar, but look at this thing. Sheesh. I could spend an entire smoking session just enjoying the tendrils of grain that drape this stummel. And the stummel is where the visual weight lies, and where it belongs, supported by an unobtrusive saddle stem. While the rim is rounded, it displays birdseye galore, as does the rounded heel.
