Claudio Cavicchi: Brown Sandblasted Bent Dublin with Spalted Beechwood
Product Number: 002-400-2085
This sweeping bent Dublin from Claudio Cavicchi has some Horn-like influence to its shaping as it's a smoothly flowing piece featuring an easy transition. It's certainly a proud Italian take on the classic form and though the lines and curves are smooth, the majority of the piece's visual weight is focused on its hearty, flaring Dublin bowl. Here Claudio has dressed this rendition in one of his signature sandblasts, displaying plenty of rich, rippling grain all around the bowl, while the smooth-finished rim shows off some of this block's lovely birdseye. The stummel's warm contrast stain pairs exquisitely with the ferrule of spalted beechwood at the shank end.- Jeffery Sitts
