When it comes to finishes, Claudio Cavicchi is simply one of the best. His pieces never disappoint in regard to grain orientation, whether crisply sandblasted or dressed in a stunning stain that elevates briar's natural grain, as is the case with this bent Pot that nods to Castello's iconic "55" design. Vivid tongues of flame grain adorn the entire bowl, which offers plenty of chamber and a firm, rounded feel in hand. Said bowl features a broad, low-set waistline and is paired to a consistently tapering, elegantly bent shank and stem out back. Such a combination places much of the visual weight onto the bowl and with all the gorgeous grain it features, it definitely deserves to be the star of the show.
