Claudio Cavicchi: Brown Sandblasted Cherrywood

While Claudio Cavicchi is perhaps best known for the exemplary, smooth finishes to which he awards C ratings, this Cherrywood shows he is equally skilled in the sandblasting cabinet. Displaying tall, curved sides reminiscent of a Tankard or Egg shape, this pipe contains a capacious chamber for your favorite blend, and with a smooth S-curve of shank and stem, promises a comfortable posture while smoking it. The low-profile sandblast is accentuated by a warm contrast stain of chestnut and tan hues, the resultant surface both visually exciting and stimulating to the finger pads. The shank is joined near the flat heel, set low enough on the side of the bowl to provide an ideal place for thumb-draping.
