Claudio Cavicchi: Brown Sandblasted Bent Dublin Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-400-2808
Claudio Cavicchi's decades of experience have afforded him a keen eye for grain and shaping, ensuring every block of briar that he carves is used to its fullest potential. This bent Dublin is a rather unique offering from the Italian artisan, presenting with a wide transition and a straight length of extended shank that's here paired to a black acrylic saddle stem which takes on a slight downturn at the bit. This gentle bend is quite charming and rather elegant, serving to counterbalance the presence of the bowl up front. Said bowl sits atop a firm, pronounced heel that pushes out beneath, rounding out in a way that's evocative of the Acorn, and is possessed of a slightly more reserved flare than we're used to seeing from Cavicchi. Its walls are thick and its chamber is capacious, providing a lovely canvas for one of Claudio's signature brown sandblasts, revealing diagonal growth rings rippling through the flanks while the rim is covered in blasted birdseye.
