Claudio Cavicchi: Smooth Volcano (CCC) Tobacco Pipe

Claudio Cavicchi is known for using "C" stamps on his pipes to denote exceptional quality and orientation of grain, with five being the maximum amount a pipe can earn outside of the rare Perla and Diamante assignations. This Volcano proudly boasts three such stamps, its hearty, tapering bowl providing extra surface area on which to appreciate the briar's stunning natural grain. Feathery, densely comingled flame grain rises in harmony toward the rim from the broad-based, ridgeline-wrapped heel that's enveloped in clusters of birdseye. While the bowl is robust, the rising shank and saddle stem are far more slender in comparison, the proportions dramatized in Italian neoclassic style for a great-looking, deep-chambered pipe that's also primed for smoking comfort.
