A voluptuous, organic bent Brandy from Claudio Cavicchi, this example offers Italian neoclassic proportions paired to a less-often seen accent among Italian pipes. This is one of precious few pipes accented with the material that has received Claudio's smooth brown stain, with the bowl's shaping perfectly accentuating tight striations of flame grain sweeping toward the rim. The transition is pinched and the shank abbreviated, quickly giving way to two pale knuckles of bamboo, while a lithe, jet-black acrylic saddle stem turns down gently out back. The profile is primed for comfortable clenching, and Claudio kept the weight quite light as well, making this a stylish piece that will comfortably perch between the teeth, but also look stunning in hand.
