Claudio Cavicchi: Brown Smooth Bent Dublin Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-400-2877
A charmingly stylized take on the bent Dublin from Claudio Cavicchi, this piece from the esteemed Italian artisan is possessed of ample curvature throughout its build. These curves manifest mainly at the fore, with the bowl's walls smoothly sweeping out from both a wide transition and a fluid heel, reaching a high-set waist that's slightly softened as opposed to being marked by a ridge. From here, the rim takes on a domed look that keeps the lines easy and flowing, the softness of the waist providing a comfortable feel in hand as the bowl is grasped. Out from the transition pushes a flaring shank which terminates in an undulating, plateau-covered face that's married to a demurely downturned stem of black acrylic. The stem's expansion ring at the base works with the shank face to create the sole sharp angles of this pipe's construction, drawing some of the visual weight away from the bowl. Dressed in one of Cavicchi's handsome chestnut stains, this pipe showcases some handsome grain throughout and would be an excellent addition to any collection.
