A bent Billiard framed by soft-lined facets, this offering from Claudio Cavicchi is a playful rendering, the facets at fore and aft closely resembling the Shield design. The forward-canting, tall bowl boasts a rather dynamic momentum and dominates, proportionally, the shank-and-stem arrangement in Italian neoclassical style. It's dressed in the carver's rich mahogany stain, showing off stunning whorls of birdseye at the aforementioned fore and aft, while handsome cross grain can be seen on either flank.
