Claudio Cavicchi: Smooth Volcano (CCCC) Tobacco Pipe

Unlike more traditional renditions of the Volcano, this piece from Claudio Cavicchi is more Brandy-like in build and character. The wide, rounded heel swiftly tapers upward to the tauter rim, while the bowl in its entity cants subtly forward. The robust, deep-chambered bowl is paired to an upturned shank and a steeply curved saddle stem, the latter of which should ensure a comfortable smoking posture. Measuring less than five inches in total length, this piece packs plenty of substance into a relatively compact frame. One of Cavicchi's striking, honey-blonde smooth finish dresses the stummel and highlights fine strands of flame grain around the bowl.
