Claudio Cavicchi has been carving pipes for more than 40 years and brings considerable expert craftsmanship to bear in this hearty bent Apple. The charmingly plump bowl boasts a broad, low waistline that tapers gradually toward the rim, offering plenty of chamber capacity within thick walls. It's lent extra styling flourish in the form of a spur directly beneath the transition, while the proportionally more slender, upturned shank is topped by a downturned saddle stem. The Danish-like bowl makes for a voluptuous fit in hand, with the stummel wearing the Italian carver's smooth Brown finish, the mahogany hues highlighting, as usual for Cavicchi, a stellar show of grain.
