Claudio Cavicchi is known for his use of alternative mediums such as bamboo, as is the case with this bent Dublin. Displaying the form's flaring rim, the bowl here offers a sense of forward momentum with its gentle cant. Cavicchi has integrated three knuckles of bamboo as an extension and alluring accent that's then followed by a sleek, jet-black saddle stem. It's wearing one of Cavicchi's excellent honeyed stains, showcasing some lively birdseye and cross grain about the bowl, certainly worthy of its "CCC" grading. This fine-looking Dublin has plenty of chamber, is texturally and visually stimulating, and should appeal to pipe smokers who want a lot of bang for their buck.
