Claudio Cavicchi presents a hearty, lengthy Dublin with this rendition, the bowl flaring gradually toward the expansive rim, with a firm, Italian-styled heel and a slight forward cant asserting prominence as well. The long, round shank tapers gently into the base of an abbreviated saddle stem, the combination resembling the layout of a Lovat and exuding that classic shape's sleek refinement, all while ensuring the pipe's visual weight remains on the robust bowl. Finished in a crisp sandblast and stained a light mahogany, the stummel here showcases layer upon layer of rippling ring grain for both the eyes and the fingers to appreciate. The rim's broad surface showcases an impressive array of textural birdseye throughout, capping off a wonderful work by Cavicchi.
