Boasting three "C" stamps, this striking bent Dublin from Claudio Cavicchi displays phenomenal grain and design, nothing short of what one would expect from the talented, Italian artisan. The flare of the bowl to the rim here is rather reserved, expanding gradually into a broad halo of plateau at the rim, the walls here sat atop a strikingly pronounced heel spur that offers a keen point of visual focus. A wide transition leads to a lengthy shank of ovoid shape, which lifts out of the bowl and curves, Hawkbill-like, to meet a demurely curved saddle stem at its end. The palm-filling bowl provides plenty of surface on which to show off a beautiful array of flame grain, the tight tendrils rising from heel to rim in a mesmerizing manner, adding to the bowl's vertical presence.
