Claudio Cavicchi: Smooth Bent Dublin (CCCC) Tobacco Pipe

With a trumpeting profile, a sweeping shank-and-stem arrangement, and a towering bowl, this bent Dublin from Cavicchi is rather striking, both in build and appearance. The bowl here flares upward from its lifted heel to its broad rim, while the shank-and-stem arrangement snakes out back into a lithe and gestural S-curve. Though this "CCCC" graded piece offers plenty of briar for the fingers to embrace, the overall form is remarkably comfortable in hand. Cavicchi's fetching honey-blonde smooth finish dresses the stummel and highlights gorgeous tendrils of flame grain about the bowl, further elevating its appeal.
