Claudio Cavicchi: Smooth Bent Dublin (CCCC) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-400-2995

Italian artisan Claudio Cavicchi boasts nearly five decades of experience in carving pipes, his start in the world of pipe making spurred on by impatience and a determination to do better than those brands he could buy in tobacco shops. His style is characterized by its neoclassical proportions and impeccable grain, and that's something well demonstrated by this bent Dublin. The outline of the stummel here is actually rather unique, with the shank and bowl rather proportional in their consistent flare as long as the shank can be considered to be flaring into the transition. When seen this way the profile here is similar to the Horn, though possessed of a good deal more curvature at the transition. The bowl's flare from the sweeping heel terminates in a broad rim replete with swirling birdseye. Dressed in Cavicchi's signature honey-blonde finish, the stummel boasts excellent flame and straight grain all around the bowl.
