Claudio Cavicchi: Smooth Bent Brandy (CCCCC) Tobacco Pipe

This bent Brandy from Claudio Cavicchi is only just, with a lifting, though arrow-straight, stretch of shank and a demurely downturned saddle stem. Said stem doesn't so much alter the smoking posture of this pipe as it does imbue the overall composition with a sense of gracile poise, elevating the lines through the aft and balancing some of the visual weight of the bowl. The shank here is actually rather interesting, being made of two separate pieces of briar that are joined at a trim black acrylic ring, extending its reach quite a bit while keeping the aft relatively sleek. Up front, the bowl rises to over two inches tall and takes on an arcing taper to the rim from its low-set waistline, holding ample curves to make for a comfortable feel in hand, with plenty of room at the transition to drape a digit. Dressed in Cavicchi's iconic honey-blonde stain, the bowl of this 5 "C" graded piece is wrapped by dense streaks of flame and straight grain, striated by stunningly visible undulating growth rings.
