With a slender shank-and-stem combination culminating in a very subtle downward turn, this Horn from Claudio Cavicchi offers a wide bowl with thick insulating chamber walls and a softly undulating rim populated with elegant birdseye. The bowl is substantially proportioned and the piece has a smooth, gradually tapering transition from shank to bowl, along with a sweeping heel that imbues the piece with a subtle forward momentum. A dark, inky stain illuminates the expert sandblast of this pipe, revealing fantastic ring grain that radiates from the heel to the rim, while the rim has been stained a vibrant ruby to showcase its birdseye with ample contrast.
