A distinctive shape not often seen from Claudio Cavicchi, this Cavalier features a foot that extends past the nearly 90 degree transition, capped here with black acrylic. The tall, plump bowl features a generous chamber capacity nearly two inches in depth, ensuring long, luxurious smoking sessions. The piece has a good bit of height when viewed in profile, with the proud saddle stem of jet-black acrylic topping things off and striking a comfortable smoking position with its demure bend. One of Cavicchi's iconic honey-blonde stains accentuates the briar's natural grain patterns, perfectly encapsulating the streaking bands of flame grain about the bowl as well as the craggy plateau across the broad rim: earning this pipe a "CCC" grade. Sizeable in hand, this piece will make a welcome addition to any collector's rotation, especially those who enjoy Cavicchi's playful shaping style and robust proportions.
