Claudio Cavicchi: Smooth Bent Billiard (CCCC) Tobacco Pipe

Claudio Cavicchi here presents us with a slightly bent Egg or Brandy-like interpretation of the old bent Billiard, with an affably rounded form that tapers ever so subtly toward the rim. The shank ebbs out of a wide transition and is separated midway through its travel by a pair of black acrylic rings, matching the hues of the trim, demurely curved saddle stem to which it's paired. Rendered in acutely neoclassical proportions, the stummel is finished in one of Claudio's signature blonde finishes. The aforementioned finish accentuates some gorgeous flame grain around the bowl — beautiful enough to have earned this piece a "CCCC" grade from the Italian carver.
