Claudio Cavicchi has earned a reputation since the 1970s as a master of pipe carving and one of the chief artisans working in the Italian neoclassic style. This bent Billiard is a fine example of said style, featuring a forward-urging bowl that sweeps forward from a smooth transition, with supple, curvaceous walls and plump heel. Out back, a sinuous round shank tapers to join a comfortably bent acrylic stem, offering an effortless clench. Dressed in a rich walnut finish, the stummel boasts excellent flame grain all around the bowl.
