Claudio Cavicchi has earned a reputation since the 1970s as a master of pipe carving and one of the chief artisans working in the Italian neoclassic style. This bent Brandy is a bold, bowl-forward piece, featuring a plump, supple bowl with tapered walls and a broad, palm-filling heel. Out back, a pinched transition gives way to a slim round shank and comfortably bent acrylic saddle stem, further emphasizing the rotund bowl. Dressed in a rich walnut stain, the stummel boasts excellent flame grain around the bowl.
