Claudio Cavicchi: Smooth Billiard (CCC) Tobacco Pipe

Claudio Cavicchi has earned a reputation since the 1970s as a master of pipe carving and one of the chief artisans working in the Italian neoclassic style. This "CCC" grade Billiard is a fine example of such style, also displaying the particularly excellent briar Cavicchi is known for. The broad rim and hearty bowl rest with a dynamic presence on a strong heel, paired to a slim round shank for a forward-urging silhouette. An acrylic saddle stem brings up the rear, its jet-black color accentuating the honey-blonde stain on the stummel. The light-hued finish highlights the excellent straight and flame grain around the bowl, not to mention the swirling birdseye at the rim.
