Known for his skill in producing pipes with impeccable grain, Caludio Cavicchi has been crafting incredibly functional and beautiful pieces for over 50 years. A structured and robust offering from Cavicchi, this ever-so-slightly bent Dublin is a unique take on the shape-chart standard. Up front, the bowl is tall, rising well over two inches from a firm heel to a plateau-crowned rim that peers into a capacious tobacco chamber. A broad transition gives way to sturdy, paneled shank that begins the aft's bend toward the bit. The paneling stretches through the shoulders of the inky acrylic saddle stem, its ebony pigment contrasted by Cavicchi's trademark honey hues dressing the smooth stummel. The smooth finish accentuates the stunning flicks of flame grain that wrap the bowl's flanks, as well as the dense patches of birdseye on the underside.
