The Horn is a shape that's ideal for displaying beautiful grain, and when crafted by an artisan like Claudio Cavicchi, the results are simply spectacular. In terms of size, this piece is on the longer end for Claudio, and thrusts the majority of its visual weight toward the dramatically canted bowl. The grain around the bowl is as phenomenal as one would expect from a Cavicchi briar, and it is certainly deserving of the distinguished CCCC grade it received. Horizontal streaks of grain along the rim and flanks perfectly frame the swirls of birdseye that populate the bowl's fore and aft. Out back, a bright silver mount adds a touch of gentility to the shank's junction with a comfortably bent stem of jet-black acrylic.
