One of the more streamlined Cavicchi designs I've encountered, this Apple deftly demonstrates the Italian artisan's immense talent for rendering classic shapes and ability to create pieces with breathtaking grain. The bowl is affably plump and well-rounded with the shank-and-stem combination continuing with a subtle lift and bend behind, emphasizing the bowl's visual presence. The bowl occupies most of the space in this composition, displaying a broad, rounded heel that lends it a striking presence. Dressed in one of Claudio's honey-blonde finishes, this piece showcases lovely grain throughout, with tight flame grain all around the bowl, paired to dense birdseye at the rim and heel.
