One of Italy's finest pipe makers, Claudio Cavicchi has carved pipes for over 40 years and is still going strong. Cavicchi crafts a wide variety of shapes, and each one showcases spectacular grain patterns in either a smooth or sandblasted finish. Although Claudio Cavicchi often crafts bowl-centric pieces in the vein of Italian neoclassic pipe making, this design is decidedly Anglo-French in inspiration. The supple, tapered bowl is poised at a significant forward cant, lending the streamlined form a palpable sense of dynamism. Out back, the arrow-straight and proportional shank-and-stem arrangement gently tapers from the transition to the bit, which manifests a balanced profile. Additionally, the stummel is dressed in a honey-blonde stain, highlighting a wealth of handsome grain across the CCCC-graded stummel.
