Claudio Cavicchi: Brown Smooth Bent Dublin Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-400-3488
Claudio Cavicchi is truly a master of his craft, and his ability to coax the best possible grain out of every piece of briar will always astound me. His over 50 years of experience ensures that his pipes are not only beautiful, but expertly shaped and precisely drilled, and all of these are the case with this bent Dublin. This bent Dublin is a smartly curved piece from the Italian artisan, its silhouette showcasing a stout sense of muscularity. A wide transition gives way to a cylindrical shank that lifts and forms a seamless junction with a comfortably poised saddle stem of arcing black acrylic. Up front, the bowl stands atop a rounded heel, its walls taking on a measured flare out to a broad, domed rim. Said walls rise with a bold flare, creating an impressive thickness up front, nicely insulating the capacious chamber and fostering an imposing feel in hand. Dressing this pipe is one of Cavicchi's warm chestnut stains, unveiling a dense array of flame grain wrapping the bowl.
