One of Italy's finest pipe makers, Claudio Cavicchi has carved pipes for over 40 years and is still going strong. Cavicchi crafts a wide variety of shapes, and each one showcases spectacular grain patterns, whether it be in one of his smooth or sandblasted finishes. A handsome take on the classic form, this CCC-graded bent Apple by Cavicchi features a plump, full-bodied bowl that stands at the fore of an upturned shank and a demurely curved saddle stem. Said bowl rests atop a lifted heel that cants the totality of the bowl forward and imbues the overall composition with a dynamic posture in profile. The shank-and-stem arrangement provides some pronounced gesture to the form and promotes a comfortable smoking posture, all while balancing the bowl. Dressing this piece is Cavicchi's honey-blonde smooth finish, which highlights gorgeous grain throughout the stummel.
